Break Rules

Everything customers need to know before buying a break spot, filler, or PYT team. Purchasing constitutes agreement to the terms below.

01

General Rules

Updated May 2024
!

By purchasing any spot or filler, you agree to all rules and terms on this page. There are no guarantees that you will receive a specific team, player, or card. All break products are blind-package models beyond the control of the breaker.

  • Breaks are live-streamed on YouTube at https://www.youtube.com/@HitmanRips/streams and archived for transparency and verification.
  • Breaks are numbered in order but may run out of numerical order depending on what sells out first.
  • Listed dates and times are for the start of the livestream, not the exact time of your specific break.
  • Bounties, case hits, and similar chase items are not guaranteed to remain live when your break actually runs.
  • An automatic $2.50 discount applies for each additional full break spot on the same order only.
  • Product thumbnails are for display only and may not represent the exact box source in the break.
02

Break Types

Format A

Random Team Break

  • All spots are priced equally.
  • Teams are randomized live via Random.org.
  • You know your team before the break starts.
  • You receive all cards from your assigned team.
  • Results are final once randomized.
Format B

Pick Your Team

  • Each team is sold at its own listed price.
  • You choose your team at checkout.
  • You receive all cards for your purchased team or teams.
  • No team randomization is needed.
  • Pricing varies by team demand.

No cards pulled from your team? A pack or card may be sent as a courtesy item at the breaker's discretion. Courtesy items have no guaranteed value.

Card Assignment Rules

Team placement: Cards go to the team printed on the front or back of the card. If no team is printed, the card goes to the team shown by the jersey being worn.

Multi-player cards, non-numbered: Two-player cards go to the top, left, or front team in odd-numbered breaks and to the bottom, right, or back team in even-numbered breaks. Updated June 8, 2023

Multi-player hits and numbered cards: Numbered cards, autographs, memorabilia cards, SPs, SSPs, case hits, and cards valued over $100 at the breaker's discretion are randomized via Random.org. A participant receives one entry per player spot they own.

  • Cards with three or more players or teams are always randomized.
  • Points cards and untied redemptions are randomized to all spots in the break.
  • College and USA cards go to the player's most recent preseason, regular season, or playoff team. Rookies go to their current team.
  • Retired players go to the team on the card, or if none is shown, the team they played the most games with.
  • Relocated franchise examples include Seattle SuperSonics to Oklahoma City Thunder and Houston Oilers to Tennessee Titans.
  • If a situation is not covered, the breaker makes the final ruling based on fairness.
04

Randomization Policy

R

All randomizations use Random.org or a comparable transparent tool. If a randomization is performed with the wrong participant list or team list, it is invalid and must be rerun. Effective May 14, 2024

  • Participant names may be entered in no particular order and customers do not choose their position on any list.
  • Names may be reordered before randomization for administrative reasons such as cancellations.
  • Input order has zero effect on the final randomized result when a true randomizer is used.
  • Each possible permutation is equally probable and results are final once the randomization is run on stream.
05

Shipping

06

Payments and Refunds

$

All sales are final once a break or filler has been randomized or completed. Dissatisfaction with the result does not mean the advertised service was not delivered.

  • Manual payments through Venmo, Zelle, or similar methods must be received and confirmed before the break starts or the order will be canceled.
  • Recorded break footage and Random.org results constitute proof that the service was performed as described.
  • Sales tax is collected in applicable states and additional states may be added if nexus thresholds are reached.

Sales tax states: Georgia, Nevada, New Jersey, Minnesota, Michigan, Illinois, Hawaii, Louisiana, Ohio, Maryland, Kentucky, North Carolina, Washington, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Arizona, Indiana, Massachusetts, Florida, Rhode Island, New York, and California.

07

Bounties

Active Bounties

Hit a card with the left serial number matching the current target number to win.

Minor Bounty + $100

Added every break it is not hit

Major Bounty + $50

Added every break it is not hit

  • Bounties pay up to $1,000 in cash, with any remaining amount issued as store credit.
  • Bounties over $2,000 may be paid up to 50% in cash, with the remainder as store credit.
  • Store credit does not expire until further notice.
  • Complete sets do not count toward bounties unless a listing explicitly says otherwise.
08

Fillers

A filler is a promotional, chance-based participation entry tied to a specific break. Buying a filler provides entry into the drawing only and does not guarantee a team, spot, or final placement in the main break.

  • Filler winners are determined randomly using Random.org or a similar transparent method.
  • If your filler does not advance, the promotional service is still considered fully delivered.
  • Non-advancing filler participants still receive a pack or card mailed with their next order.
  • No refunds are issued after the filler drawing is run.
  • Filler drawings are conducted live and/or recorded on YouTube for transparency.
